In 2014, Mercanta’s Grant Rattray traveled half-way around the world to open our Singapore office, and we haven’t looked back since.
In contrast to most other coffee suppliers working in Singapore, we don’t store our coffee at the quayside in a commodity warehouse. Instead, we partner with a Grade A food warehouse that handles high value food stuffs. The facility offers ambient, air-conditioned, chilled and frozen storage and is highly automated and secure. The coffees that we source and supply should be considered valuable and perishable fine foods, and we believe that giving extra care and attention to their storage protects their quality and extends freshness for our specialty roaster clients.

JUNE
Direct FCL shipment from Djibouti to Singapore arrived on June 1st with 3 different new crop washed coffees from the Yirgacheffe, Sidamo and Guji regions. Over 80 samples cupped before selecting these exemplary lots for specialty roasters in Asia. Available now from the Singapore warehouse.
JULY
Through the months of July and August, we are cupping many new crop offer samples for upcoming direct container shipments into Singapore from El Salvador, Colombia, Indonesia, Colombia and Rwanda.
Stock transfer from the main UK warehouse of additional new crop arrivals from Kenya, Ethiopia natural, Guatemala and Nicaragua will arrive into Singapore end of August.
AUGUST
Papua New Guinea Sourcing Trip: Grant and Leah Warren, from Mercanta North America will visit Papua New Guinea this August. This is our third trip to the country, bringing a back-to-basics approach to Coffee Hunting in an emerging specialty origin. This year, as always, we are looking to discover value and establish traceability. These coffees will ship to the USA, Europe and Asia for arrival in October.
