On Friday 25th and Saturday 26th of January we were invited by the Deutsche Roestergilde (German Roaster’s Guild) and Probat to join them at a roasting workshop and sensory exercise that took place at Probat in Emmerich, Germany.
We donated four coffees to the event (Brazil Fazenda Passeio Topazio PN, Rwanda Musasa Red Bourbon, Bolivia Angel Mamani and Guatemala COE Carmona) and thirty German roasters roasted the coffees on Probatinos (1kg), Probatone (5kg) and Probatone (12kg).
The 1st day the roasters prepared coffees to different recipes and during the 2nd day we ran a cupping presentation and cupped all the different coffees – we had a fantastic time roasting and cupping!
It was great to see our friends from the Roasters Guild and Probat and we are really looking forward to travelling together in Rwanda later in the year.
Thank you very much to all the members of the guild specially Heiko Rehorik.
Also thank you to Daniela and Jens from Probat.
