Mercanta North America’s Megan Rindt visited this year’s Canadian Tea & Coffee show – and here’s what she saw!!!
The Canada Coffee & Tea Show was a great event. Toronto is a beautiful city full of wonderful people and great roasters. Spending a few days at the show and a day café crawling gave me the chance to meet some wonderful people in the coffee scene. It was great to be able to visit cafes including Boxcar Social, JJ Bean, Propeller Coffee Co, Hale Coffee Roasters, Station Cold Brew, Lit Espresso, Dineen Coffee Co, Dark Horse Espresso, Neo Coffee and Crafted. The doughnut topped milkshake from Peace Treats was quite the experience, and of course, a trip to Toronto isn’t complete without trying a peameal bacon (a type of back bacon made from lean boneless pork loin and rolled in cornmeal) sandwich from Carousel Bakery at St. Lawrence Market.
Thanks, Toronto, I hope to be back soon!
