New Singapore office open!

We’ve just received the photos of our new sign and couldn’t wait to share them with you! 

It seems only five minutes ago that seasoned coffee hunter Grant Rattray packed his bags and said goodbye to the wind and the rain, heading off with a suitcase packed with cupping spoons and samples in search of new markets, palm trees and good noodles. His mission was simple: to establish Mercanta Asia, our first office in the region, to be located in the strategically located Singapore.

After a couple of months of hard graft, heat adjustment and office scouting, Grant has over overcome the challenges posed by new local customs authorities and real estate regulations to find our new home, on the lovely Duxton Hill.

The area is known for its traditional architecture, and our office is to be found in one these beautifully preserved buildings, for which the area is famous. A former Nutmeg plantation, Duxton Hill is now largely pedestrianised, with the buildings having both commercial and residential use.

Grant has already been rushed of his feet visiting shows and meeting new customers, now we’re all just waiting for our turn to visit…
