European Orders & Mercanta Berlin!
Dear Mercanta Customers,
Firstly, we would like to thank you for your loyalty and perseverance over the past 12 months. Without doubt this has been the toughest year on record for Mercanta, yourselves, and the coffee industry as a whole. Despite all, we can take solace in the fact that our industry has proven to be resilient, as end consumers continue to show a keen interest and passion for our product.
Furthermore, you will all be aware that the United Kingdom officially left the European Union and the European Single Market as of 1st January 2021. The trade deal has alleviated some logistical requirements when exporting from the UK to the EU. However, inevitably, there are protocols and documentation requirements now in place.
Please be aware that we have officially established a fully functional sales office and state of the art laboratory in Berlin, Germany! The purpose of Mercanta Berlin is to better service our European customer base. Our warehouse is located in Hamburg, and we will continue to import directly into the European Union over the coming months and years. Our delicious coffees will therefore be free to move around the continent without need of the below requirements! Be sure to contact either Juan Cano (juan@coffeehunter.com) or Ben Palmer (ben@coffeehunter.com) for price lists and recommendations!
For European roasters who wish to order from our UK warehouse, please see requirements below:
