Flo elected to ACE Board
We are pleased to report that Mercanta director, Flori Marin, has been voted onto the Alliance for Coffee Excellence (ACE) board of directors.
The ACE is a US based non-profit organisation that owns and manages the pioneering Cup of Excellence programme. ACE works in partnership with host country coffee organisations to carry out the COE competition and auction, and to advise on and manage any other programmes that improve the understanding and appreciation of exemplary coffee.
Mercanta has enthusiastically supported COE, both as a buyer and lifetime pioneer member, since the very first auction in Brazil back in 1999. Our managing director, Stephen Hurst, steps down from the board this year, after several years on the ACE team.
